North Carolina Kokoon Homes KITs
Here is one way you can finish your Kokoon KIT Home. This example is in North Carolina
North Carolina example of a finished home. All finishes are site installed by client / homeowner, and follow local codes and customers own tastes. You can finish with whatever siding or interior cladding you desire. The exterior ZIP board does NOT need house wrap (as a matter of fact this envelope is stronger and tighter than any osb / house wrap combo, when installed per manufactures directions). See the http://www.huberwood.com/zipsystem/home-zip-system for a detailed look at just how fantastic this rough frame sheathing really is. Client can finish with wood, vinyl, stucco, rock, brick, metal or any commercially available appearance they desire.
Client installed exterior roofing can be anything available on the open market from asphalt shingles, metal roofing, standing seam, tile, slate, everything will be installed per manufactures directions directly over a water-proof underlay nailed directly to Kokoon KITs roof panel. The weight load of final roofing will be added to the Kokoon weight of 2-3 pounds per square foot. This keeps the total weight well within standard design loads of truss manufacture. Kokoon basic roof panel does not add to standard truss costs.
Interior sheet rock is attached with common drill point drywall screws available at any drywall supply house. If you want to have wood interior then a strip of plywood attached will let you attach with a common air nail gun. Clients can install interior wall wherever they desire. Truss construction allows for an endless arrangement on rooms and living spaces.
All local codes have precedence to general statements. It is dependent on the onsite assembler / homeowner to verify local ordinances for compatibility and compliance. These examples are a general description of construction techniques.
